Prayer by Mike Stover to open the meeting

Brad Mollett conducted the meeting, as it was more of informational meeting reviewing his findings and concepts.

First, Brad thanked the time and assistance of Kenny Newquist on surveying and measuring our diamonds. Brad listed the diamonds he viewed as: 10 of our windows, the half arch window, the high altar, the Sacred Heart window which measures 126” x 5’, the Stations of the Cross, the communion rail, and several sections of our woodworking especially that on the choir loft and the front pews.

Brad stated, as did Kenny that the high altar is in very good shape with only one area problem where someone had placed a hook. The high altar was constructed by someone with great precision and care even to the point that each side is almost a mirrored image of each other. Question asked the type of wood: answer possibly Douglas fir or a pine which makes it able to be stained or painted to almost any wood grain color. Same question to other wood pieces and answer was Douglas fir or yellow pine.

Brad then shared the survey map of our property and placed an overlay of possible new church and hall design to show possible placement. The placement and parking lot use is a further discussion topic. One question raised was if the idea of church and hall might be constructed as one elongated structure.

Brad then shared his work on a visual vertical frontal and side view of the church and hall. Very impressive to the committee. Discussion on height, roofing, and use of some the diamonds were also topics. Meeting was short due to other commitments of Brad. One question for next meeting is the working space required around our present church structure. Brad will check into that answer.

Meeting adjourned at about 7:40pm.
